The Player Curricula focus on the Foundation Phase and are a framework for Player Development at the youngest age groups. It is a blend of different models and coaching theories with concrete application's for the modern player.
The aim of these curricula is to aid coaches and clubs to bring this phase of player development into line with the Youth Development Phase and Professional Development Phase. If clearly outlined, it should be easier to implement consistency and connection between all age-groups.
The Player Curricula are broken down into four levels: Introductory, Developmental, Experienced and Advanced. There should be a clear progression from one curriculum to the next, incorporating the building blocks and progressing from one year to the next.
There is no 'one size fits all' approach to development. As such, each curriculum will include varying components of the building blocks and should be catered to the needs of the players.
